I wasn’t sure if I would share this, but transparency has its power, so here it is.
One of the hardest lessons I’ve faced since becoming a mum is learning how to ask for help and truly communicate my needs. No matter how prepared and organised I am, life has its own plans. It’s a reminder that we’re all still learning.
For me, one of the biggest mindset blocks in business has been moving past the subconscious belief that I can’t be a great mum & wife, prioritise my health, and run a successful business all at once. This deep-rooted story tells me that success in one area has to come at the expense of another.
Every time my business reaches a new level, that old story creeps back in, testing my resilience and behaviors.
But this time, something feels different. The past few months have been a mix of intense growth—both personally and professionally—alongside moments of deep grief, sadness and also overwhelming joy.
Recently, a key team member left at a time when I wanted to be 100% present for my kids. That familiar fear crept back in. I found myself slipping into late nights, losing productivity, and letting my health and routines slide—right when my clients needed me most. Suddenly, I wasn’t embodying the very values I guide my clients through. It impacted my confidence and left me wondering if I could keep my promise to my clients, my kids, and myself.
So, I took responsibility. On Friday, I acknowledged how I was feeling and made an active choice to interrupt that old pattern.
This moment feels like an invitation to break the cycle, to prove that it is possible to *be* fully present—as a mother, a coach, and a business leader.
Growth doesn’t just come through obvious wins; it’s in the quiet, challenging moments when we pause, reflect, and consciously rewrite what no longer serves us.
